Amazing! Can't wait to go back again!
 5 of 5 stars
I travel a lot and was only going to be home for a short break and thought it'd be nice for my friends and I to get away for a bit. We all have pretty busy lives and this location and trip was exactly what we all needed. The house was absolutely, gorgeously designed and the upgrades throughout were so beautiful. The only thing we wish was that we could have stayed longer. Winter is by far our favorite season and coming up the mountain you are greeted with the lovely colorful abundance of trees and amazing waterfalls. We didn't have too much time to explore but we didn't even feel the need to this time around since the house had everything we could possibly ask for. The out door fireplace and fire pit were just perfect on the chilly nights (not to mention the fabulous views…). Just needing time to recharge, the home provided something for everyone from just being lazy on the comfy couches watching tv, cooking in the fully stocked kitchen, grilling outside on the outer deck in the crisp weather at night, endless fun in the game/ping pong room and making s'mores for the first time in the fire pit! If you just want to escape for a bit I definitely recommend this home!! We will surely return back in the summer, hopefully!

Best vacation ever!

It was like going to a 5 star resort in the beautiful mountains. The cabin was gorgeous and fully stocked with everything you could ever need for a great vacation. Chef's kitchen with top of the line appliances, beautiful rock fireplace, very comfortable beds with all the linens, breathtaking views of the mountains. Very private and a great place to get away from it all without being too far from town. The owner was very easy to contact and attentive to needs. Will definitely come back.

We absolutely loved our stay at Hunter's Lodge!

We arrived in the evening to a beautiful resort-like entrance and awoke to beautiful views. The accommodations were very well stocked, we had everything we needed. We had a great night's sleep on the comfortable beds, the kids(and husband) enjoyed the ping-pong table. We had a question for the owner and they were quick to respond and very friendly; we would definitely book with them again!

Fantastic fall colors at Hunter's Lodge

We have already booked our next stay here. The cabin is upscale with gorgeous views.

We slept like babies with all the windows open under the plush down comforters. The kitchen is amazing and the outdoor fire pit was our late night destination. Thank you DJ for being a call or text away and being so responsive.

Outstanding
 5 of 5 Stars
Our family of four had a spectacular stay. A few things to note:

- The property was spotlessly clean and well decorated.

- The house is even larger than it appears in the pictures. The covered deck is huge, with lots of seating and a nice dining table.

- If you have kids, they will likely love the ping pong and foosball tables. Our whole family did. Even during good weather, they will be appreciated, as they provide a great alternative to TV in the evenings.

- The upstairs master bed may be the most comfortable I've ever had in a rental property.

- Location is VERY private and quiet with great views of the surrounding mountains. While 15 minutes from Highlands proper, it's very close to the key attractions along SR 64 and the drive along the river to and from town - while winding - is also scenic.

- Consider the size of the property, game tables, large TV, and covered deck with fireplace as you make your plans. If it rains - as it did on two of the four days of our stay - these amenities could make your trip.
