CLEAN, Well Furnished, Cozy Cabin with a Great View!!

This cabin was perfect for our getaway. We had 4 adults (2 couples - No children) & we were very comfortable with the setup. We ended up spending the majority of our trip at the cabin & we found that it had everything we needed and more! The kitchen had every pot, pan, baking dish, serving spoon, etc. that we needed for cooking. There were plenty of blankets & pillows in addition to the ones on our beds. There was a large tv mounted in center of LR which was perfect for ballgames & movies. The decor was very warm & cozy. We found the living furniture to be very comfortable & accomodating for 4 adults to be in the same room at the same time (that may sound silly to some, but it made a difference in allowing us to feel comfortable). There were 2 recliners & a loveseat, that also reclined on each side. It was very quiet & had a great view of the trees & mountains from the large, covered back porch. Last, but NOT LEAST, the cabin was VERY clean. Not only was it a great first impression, it allowed us to relax & enjoy our entire stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & would recommend it to anyone.

The owner made this very easy. The cabin had everything you could want. It's relatively close to town, secluded, has a view, fireplace, high quality, etc. We will definitely be back.

Fabulous Cabin with Stunning Views

What a fabulous cozy cabin with stunning views. This cabin has everything you need to have a stress free vacation. Private and quiet tucked into the mountain side. I will be recommending this specific cabin to several friends.

Great cabin, with a great view! We'll definitely be back. It is secluded and private, but not far from Highlands downtown. We wanted to get away, and just be in a quiet place, but be close enough to go out to dinner or walk downtown; and we got just that!

Absolutely wonderful cabin and amazing location!

Our stay exceeded our expectations. The cabin is beautiful, perfectly clean, comfy, and well-stocked. We have stayed in many rentals before, and this was by far the most welcoming. Beds and couches are comfy, kitchen is lovely and has everything you could possibly need. The owner even provided starter coffee and tea pods, trash bags, toilet paper, little shampoo and conditioner bottles, paper towels, laundry detergent...everything you might need until you get to the grocery store, and more. The pictures on the website are accurate, and the view is even more wonderful. The wifi, tv, and dvd player work great. Bonus table top games and darts, which we enjoyed. The location is perfect. Secluded but a short drive to town, grocery, and so many beautiful hikes and waterfalls! We really cannot say enough about how great this place is to stay! Be sure to go to the Highland Hiker (in town) and buy their Highlands Hike guide. This has the best detailed list of local hikes, and we went on many. Don't miss swimming at Secret Falls!! Not listed in the guide: four minute drive from the cabin is a pull-off from the main road with cascades, swimming, and jumping into a swimming hole. Not sure if it has a name, but you will see people there every day as you drive to the cabin. This was our first visit to North Carolina, and is now our favorite vacation spot. We can't wait to come back!

Cozy, craftsman-style cottage with amazing views!

Nestled atop a quiet mountain, this cabin really does have it all. From the pebble floor in the shower to the custom wood island in the kitchen, it is obvious that this home was built with care and thought. Although the outside air was frigid, we enjoyed the mountaintop views from the picture windows as we sat near the fireplace. The kitchen is well-equipped for all your cooking needs. While it was just two of us, the home is large enough to accommodate 4-6 comfortably. DJ was very accommodating and easy to get in touch with. Highly recommend if you are looking for a quiet area that is an easy drive to town. Nearby is Dry Falls which is breathtaking and Highlands BBQ was delicious! Looking forward to the next time!
